Assistant Minister seeks urgent update from NHMRC CEO on Clinical Guidelines for BPD
Our national letter writing campaign is paying off!
Here is a copy of a response from the Hon Emma McBride MP, our new Federal Assistant Minister for Mental Health and Suicide Prevention, to one of our supporters who wrote to her local Federal MP, Monique Ryan last year.
In the letter the Assistant Minister refers to our National Consensus Statement saying: “It is a testament to the commitment of those advocating for Australians living with BPD, and on their behalf, I have requested a meeting with Professor Anne Kelso AO, Chief Executive Officer of the NHMRC, seeking an urgent update on the status of these and other related guidelines.”
This shows the power for the individual to make a difference in our democracy.
If you haven’t already, please show your support for the National Consensus Statement now via our home page as soon as you can.
And… remember to please send us copies of replies you receive to email
