.....an online workbook to support you with the NDIS
Self-advocacy for the NDIS (Mental Health) is a workbook that was developed following a co-design process, in partnership with Victorian Mental Illness Awareness Council (VMIAC) and Tandem. The booklet is designed to assist NDIS participants and prospective participants to navigate the NDIS.
It covers the following topics:
self-advocacy
applying for the NDIS
NDIS Plans (from preparation to implementation)
NDIS appeals and reviews for eligibility and plans
supports that do not need NDIS funding
tips for support people.
Support for people with mental health conditions to access the NDIS aims to help people experiencing mental health issues to self-advocate for what they need under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
Online train-the-trainer program for NDIS service providers: The training is aimed at NDIS service providers assisting people who may be eligible to access, or are accessing the NDIS, under the psychosocial disability stream.
